DAISY

Hello! Today I am going to talk about my lovely dog. It's called Daisy because when we got it she was so lazy and she only wanted to lie on the floor or on her bed. So my older sister, Elsiabeth and me were thinking about her name. At the end, after some hours seeing how her movements and reactions were  we thought that the perfect name would be Lazy, but it was a bit difficult to pronounce to our little nephew. We continue thinking about the name and after trying to change"Lazy" some times we decide Daisy! And this is the story of her name.

"HOW DO I MAKE FACEBOOK COMPLETELY PRIVATE?"

Facebook was surely one of the most revolutionary invents of the newer age, specially for my generation. It opened new possibilities in the world wide net to share information, photos etc with your friends. In the last years there were and more abuses with private details of facebook user so it is very important to check you “private configuration” in order to avoid “surprises”. Not all what is concerning your life must be public. So be careful and check in internet how to preserve your intimity.

 At this point of life I really think that some people are specially crazy and have nothing serious to do. I mean, ok it's a good affect if you seems to be a Barbie girl, but what will you do later, when beauty has gone? What is about your brain? It's interesting that these thing happen mostly in Eastern Countries – maybe it is because they are really desperate and have no hope – no future? I can't understand their reasons and I hope that they recognise in the end that there more important things to do in life...

MY SISTER

I am going to talk about my sister! I really love her because she is a good example for me. She was born on March in 1990. Her name is Elisabeth. She is neither tall but nor short, and she has curly and brown hair. Her eyes are brown and small. She has a piercing in her nose. Beth seems to be an independent person and self-confident. She is very friendly, lovely, patient, and she loves to help people. She is a beautiful person. She is my best friend. I feel comfortable with her. Since 2008 she is living in Girona because she has studied to be an Englis teacher. Now, she is in a school teaching English. A year ago, she adopted a dog. It is called Isis and it is very nice.

THE TRUTH ABOUT WOMEN AND SEX: THEY START YOUNGER AND HAVE MORE PARTNERS– AND THOSE ARE NOT NECESSARILY MEN

The sex behaviour of women has changed in the last years and concerning emancipation they are nearly on the same level as men. Both start earlier but in the end, the quantity of relationships is the same as years before.

The modern world is also symbol for more liberty, liberty in all levels of life.

The social networks and similar platforms help to be open minded and in the end that means also more contact between women and men, and naturally between people of the same sex. 30 years ago it was unimaginable that you could have sex before 18 or be married, nowdays it is nearly strange if you haven't.

But are we happier than the people 30 years ago? May be sex was more special than it is today, because you had to wait for certain age, nowadays there are no limits.

PAUL WALKER DEAD AT 40 YEARS OLD

Paul Walker: best known for his role in "The Fast and the Furious" movies died Saturday afternoon after a car accident and explosion in Southern California Read.

The vehicle crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived to find a vehicle engulfed in flames. Two people in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, said Sheriff's Deputy Kim Manatt.

NIP-TUCK DIALOGUE

Twp days passed since she went to the surgery center. Her name is Clare and she would like to operate her tits. When she opened the door she ran to the doctor and said:

Clare: Hello, Doctor! I'm Clare and I would like to operate my tits. Is that possible?

Doctor: Hello Clare; first of all I have to see you tits to know what the problem is, ok?

After talking with Clare, the Doctor said that It wasn't possible because It wasn't necessary because there were people with higher priority.

SELF-EVALUATION

I did my last oral presentation with Aida. We explained in detail how humour is on a tv program called "Aída", and on a film called "Frozeen".

Althought we are Spanish and an English person can detect we are not from England, for example, I think my pronunciation was correct. We used all the guidelines to do a good presentation and the power point had a good structure. I am like embrassed to speak English in public because I know this language is difficult for me and I try to speak the minimum possible. In the next oral presentation I will try to speak more, to improve my English and make it more fluent. Another problem I always have in my presentations is that in the moment I am very nervous, as a lot of people.

To summarize, a part from the problem to speak less time than the expected, we did a good job.

IS HUMOUR NECESSARY IN OUR LIVES?

Humour is necessary in our lives because in my opinion everybody need humour to be happy.

A person who haven't humour in his life can feel more embittered than another person live his life with humour.

And you can recognize a person who live his life with humour because you see the happiness in his face, like my mother. She is always smiling to everybody.

In general, I think that people would have to forget their problems for a second and smile because in this way they will find out the happiness and with it the humour.

Dear teacher,

I am Alexandra and I am writing to you because I want to congratulate you for the way you teach this language. This manner you do is very good to learn, but for me is to much complicated because I am like blocked. I don't know what happens to me with English language and if you, as my teacher, could help me. I try to study. I try to understand the theory and I try to put all my knowledge in practice, but I cannot! I am blocked with this subject. When I read I understand a few things, when I listen somebody speaking in English is like I were listening Indian language. I thins i have to start for the beginning, with the simple things like vocabulary, present simple, etc. What do you think about it?

A METRO TRAIN DERAILED SUNDAY MORNING IN THE BRONX

At least four people were killed and 63 injured when a Manhattan bound Metro North train derailed Sunday morning in the Bronx, toppling cars and sending passengers flying from their seats.

At least two passengers were ejected from the Hudson line train when it skidded off the tracks at 7:20 a.m. in a sharp bend just north of the Spuyten Duyvil Station.

The engineer, a 15 year Metro North veteran, told officials he applied the brakes, but they didn’t respond, a source told the Daily News. 

PACO DE LUCIA HAS DIED

Paco de Lucia has died at 66 years old in Mexico. He was an universal musician, the guitarist who played flamenco style mixing it with bossa nova, jazz and blues, which he called "the music of the empty fridge ". He was "Payo" from his birth, but gypsy from his soul. He has spectacular songs like "Entre dos aguas". I leave you feeling this song...

WILLIAM KAMKAWA

William Kamkawa lived with his parents in Masitala. He had to leave the school because his parents didn't have enough money. Then he gained fame in his country when in 2002, he built a windmill to power a few electrical appliances in his family’s house in Mastila using a gum trees, bicycle parts, and materials that he collected. William worked hard during two weeks. At the end he finished the mill that was a success and he was able to change his village thanks to his knowledge.

THIS CAT CAN JUMP 6 FEET

The news is about a cat that lived in the street until a woman found it in alley. She discovered that the cat had a talent. It could jump two feet but in the end it jumped six feet.

The cat is considered a superstar and it's written in the book of "guiness world Record"

AMY WINEHAUSE DIED

Amy Winehause died last july 23.

She was 27 yearl old.

Nobody knows the cause of her death but a lot of people think that thse cause was the drugs.
In my ipinion this singer was famous all the world. I know that there are a lot of starts whot have died at 27 years old like ther singer of Nirvana.
Amy Winhause had a lot of fans. In my opinion she had a very beautiful voce. I'm not great fan of this singer but I like a lot of her songes. I think that all her fans remember her and I also think that her music will exist forever.

Hello,

My name is Alexandra but my friends call me Andra. I am seventeen years old and next April I will be eighteen. I live in Castelló d'Empúries since I was born. I live with my parents and my sister. I also have a brother. He is thirty-three years old and my sister twenty-four years old. We have a dog called Daisy and turtle.

My hobbies are playing volleyball and swimming. At the weekends I going with my friends to the cinema. I like going out with my family, and visit my grandparents. I love them a lot.

PROTESTS IN BRASIL

The protests in Brazil, 2013 confederations cup riots and Brazilian Spring, or June Journeys are ongoing public demonstations in several Brazilian cities, initiated mainly by the Movimento Passe Livre, a local entity that advocates for free public transportation.

The demonstrations were initially organized to protest against increases in bus, train, and metro ticket prices in some Brazilian cities, but grew to include other issues such as the high corruption in the government and police brutality used against some demonstrators. By mid-June, the movement had grown to become Brazil's largest  the 1992.

"CAMPS DE MADUIXES"

The best book that I ever read, is: ‘’Camps de maduixes’’. 
The book is about a girl who goes out to celebrate a birthday party. She goes to the party, and she sees that all of her friends are taking drugs, so, she tries one of the drug too, lets in coma.
The story is about the time while she is in coma. She feels the persons who visits her, and she hears too the conversations. She wants to wake up, but she can’t because she can only see a dark tunel. On of her friends, that she is anorexic, is very worried and something for her, so, she decides to stop vomiting because her friends would like it. When she goes to the hospital, she tells her that she is stop beeing anorexic. She hears it and she decided to continue walking along the tunel. Finally , she wakes up from the coma, and she’s very happy with her family and friends, and decided not to take drugs just because her friends do.

RELIGION, THE UNKNOW

INTRODUCTION:

This research project is done in order to know how the boys and girls of my school INS CASTELLÓ d’EMPÚRIES live the religion, how they feel it, if they know about how a person begins to be a practicant of their religion, etc.

Through this points we are going to discover how important is religion for Catholics, Orthodoxs and Protestants and also how important is for Islamics.

PROCEDURE:

1.To start my research project I handed out some surveys to all secondary school students of my high school about how they feel their religion.

2.Then, I read all surveys and there were only two religions: Christianity and Islam.

3. So I explained where Christianity comes from and how it was divided into three branches: Catholicism , Orthodox and Protestant. I did the same with Islam. I have summarized what is Islam and what are its basic practices .

CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS:

I came to the conclusion that the Catholics are the ones who know less about their religion, followed by the orthodox and then the Protestants .

And about the Muslims, they know so well their religion except some questions they didn’t know.

CONCLUSIONS:

With this project I have come to the conclusion that teenagers think they know too much about their religion but it’s not the reality.

As a personal conclusion, I must say that I enjoyed this topic because since I was a child I have been in contact with religions.

This work has helped me to keep in touch with two often conflicting worlds and learn things that I didn’t know .
